Why Volunteer?
The Impact of Your Time
Volunteering with Washington Business Week offers a unique opportunity to mentor and guide students as they navigate the world of business. Your involvement helps students develop critical skills such as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
In our skill-based volunteering model, you can use the skills you’ve developed in your career to give back to high school students.
Want to learn more?
It’s truly gratifying to interact with such bright, motivated young adults who want to explore careers in business. They have such a bright future!
Being a Company Advisor gave me firsthand experience with leadership. I learned to collaborate with others to achieve results… how to build relationships, embrace diversity, and establish trust by showing respect and appreciation. With this experience, I was able to return to my work as a more engaged employee.
I’ve always felt like a lot of the management theory I’ve learned would be useful, but I haven’t been able to use it properly. But this camp has taught me a lot about how to foster teamwork and creativity in a group of strangers, and that’s an experience that’s relevant forever.

Volunteer Opportunities
Our students say one of the most powerful parts of Washington Business Week is the opportunity to meet real-world professionals and hear their stories.
Washington Business Week runs programs across the state throughout the year, so we’re constantly looking for volunteers, the best way to stay informed is to signup to hear when we’re looking.
Our greatest need for volunteers is in the summer when we bring hundreds of students from across the state together to attend one of our programs on a college campus.

Donate
Since 1976, every single student attending Washington Business Week has received subsidized tuition thanks to donations of individuals and businesses who are dedicated to supporting the next generation of leaders in the state. Beyond subsidizing every student, we work to ensure finances are never a barrier to attending our programs.
In fact, in 2024, 52% of our students were on full-ride scholarships. Your donation can help us ensure more students have access to the lifechanging, transformational experiences of WBW.
