WHY?

This is No Ordinary Teen Summer Program

Take the lead as your team races against the clock to develop a world-changing idea and pitch it to investors at our end-of-week competition. You will take part in a dynamic workplace simulation where you are responsible for launching a new product, make choices that save people’s lives, compete for a new building contract, or find ways to increase the profits of your client organizations.

Although you’re competing with other students from around Washington and the world, you’re also having a blast working on fun and exciting group projects. At this summer program, you’ll make lifelong friends, check out university life, participate in a talent show and so much more. Washington Business Week will be one of the best (and busiest) times of your life!

Get a Head Start on College and Your Career

Washington Business Week teen summer programs are designed to provide you with a hands-on, real-world career experience while also providing you with a fun trial run of college. During our weeklong, teen summer program you’ll hang with new friends, and rub shoulders with business professionals and college students. Basically, you’re previewing college and the career world at the same time!

Earn 2 College Credits

You can even earn 2 elective college credits just for successfully completing the program through our partnership with Renton Technical College! No additional tests or essays are required. These credits may also be recognized as elective credits at other colleges; however, it is up to each student to identify if and how credits will transfer to their intended college. Read More.

Scholarship Opportunities

Through generous support from local businesses, partners, and universities, Washington Business Week is able to offer a number of scholarships to be used at post-high school institutions of higher learning.

It has given her the experience of being at a four-year university, even if just for a brief time. It won’t be as intimidating for her and she can concentrate on what she wants to pursue.”
