 If the fact that more than 48,000 high school students have participated in Washington Business Week doesn’t convince you, then here are a few other reasons:
- Have Fun: While you will certainly learn a lot from this intensive leadership experience, you can also expect to have a great time! Some fun activities included: dances, a talent show, a volleyball tournament, movies, exploring the campus and just hanging out with new friends.
- Build Your Resume: Hundreds of businesses sponsor Washington Business Week by donating money and volunteer time. Their investment in this program is an investment in their future workforce. By having Washington Business Week on your resume, you will stand out to future employers.
- Improve Your College Application: Many colleges and universities screen applicants based on their involvement in programs like Washington Business Week.
- Win a Scholarship: One student from each week receives a scholarship of $3,000 from PEMCO Financial Services. In addition, one student is chosen each summer to receive the $1,500 Don Brunell Scholarship for Future Leaders.
